Review methodology

The Pyle house outdoor Bluetooth speaker came in a well-packaged box. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Upon opening the box, two 6.5" white speakers would stare right back at you. You can't tell if they are happy to be with you because, I mean, they are no living things. But if you've anticipated its arrival, you sure would be elated taking these babies out of the box.

Thanks to the user manual and some YouTube videos, I got the hang of setting it up. Once I set it up, the first thing I did was to test its Bluetooth connection. I connected it to my Android phone without issues. Then, viola! I could play my music.

Being a person that enjoys loud music blasting through quality speakers, I have dedicated my time to years of research and trying out different speaker models. You see, it irritates me when I have to make use of terrible sounding speakers to do anything. Hence, my obsession with staying updated with trends in the audio components field was birthed.

And of course, every time a speaker model drops from any brand, I take it upon myself to experience it firsthand. Truthfully, it is always a pleasure when I do.

Product Detailed Review

Design

The first feature that got me awestruck when I received these speakers is how portable and beautiful they looked. They looked like freshly baked cakes that were stepping out of the oven.

Both speakers look beautiful and sleek. Aside from how they look, PyleHome constructed these speakers with rugged marine-grade waterproof material.

On that note, I don't have to be scared if It starts raining during a pool party in my backyard and people want to keep partying in the rain.

By design, this speaker is suitable for both indoor and outdoor functions. In essence, I can connect my phone to it and listen to my music as I lay on my bed, being lazy.

Sound Quality

After testing this speaker, I marveled at how pronounced and deep the bass was. It was so clean, and I could feel the impact of the bass as it filled the air.

This speaker has a fantastic sound quality for its price range. One of the problems I encountered while trying out other speakers was the distortion problem.

While I could hear certain distortion levels in the majority of the speakers I had tried, this Pyle Home speaker functioned well at normal levels.

Bluetooth Connectivity

The Bluetooth on this speaker has got to be my second favorite feature on this speaker. For one, it doesn't take forever to connect to it. You need to turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.

Then, search for the Bluetooth name of the speaker. Once it pops on your list of devices waiting to be connected, connect to the speaker. It is a seamless process. Regardless of your phone model, you can easily connect to the speaker and play your favorite playlist.

The hands-free receiver pairing makes it easy to connect many phone models ranging from iPhone, Android, and even tablet.

Compatibility

Thanks to the built-in channel amplifiers (2), I could further connect my DVD to this speaker. After experimenting with music, I had to take it a little further to see how it would fare when I decided to watch a series like Bridgeton or another Netflix series. I love the fact that this speaker was also compatible with my camcorder and VCR. You do not need to worry about whether or not your audio source would connect to the speaker or not. The reason? It is compatible with the majority of audio components and sources you can think of.

Verdict

Using the Pyle outdoor speaker was quite appealing. Knowing it is waterproof, I practically took it along every time I went fishing with my dad. I'd just set it nicely on the boat and let my playlist blare through the speaker. One time, my dad asked me to connect to the speaker with this iPhone, and it still connected seamlessly.

While other outdoor speaker models offer better versions of the features in this speaker, their prices would be on the high side. Hence, at the price it goes, coupled with its features, Pyle sure gave us a real treat.
